from Hutchinson's (England, circa 1935)
This interesting picture comes from the Rontgental in Germany, where the State Railway maintains a special school for training German Shepherds and Bloodhounds for railway police work. This photograph shows a squad of dogs being trained to remain seated until their name is called. The moment any individual dog is addressed by name, it springs towards its master, while the remaining animals must not stir.
